It’s Sunday morning and I’ve read (and reread) every news story I could find on the Buckeye’s dismantling of the nationally renowned Spartan Defense last night! How sweet it is to relish and relive such a statement victory. Wonder now if this team will get the respect it deserves? The papers are all describing it as “A Big Win”. I would too! Or was it?
Mark Kunz and Mike Miller of WOSN sports filmed this week’s Myles Traveled Video Segment last night in a deserted Spartan Stadium, long after the dejected Spartans had left the field, long after the Buckeye Band and OSU faithful had finished celebrating, long after last interviews had been filmed and taped in the media room. The echoes of Carmen Ohio were silent now, and it was just Mark and Mike in a deserted Spartan Stadium – the East Lansing Night Air having been sucked all out – reflecting on Myles Traveled, and a passage we have in the book titled “The Big Win”.
